Delhi Technological University, established by Govt of NCT of Delhi, offers various Undergarduate programmes (and also PG programmes) in multiple domains and has now started applications for 2021 admissions its  3 Year BA (Hons) Economics course.

About the course: The course aims to provide a sound understanding of core, pure and applied economics. Economics is covered in-depth covering knowledge of dynamics of economics, quantitative techniques, econometrics, various concepts of micro and macro economics amongst others. Additionally, students also apply ideas and techniques from other disciplines like analytics, computers, mathematics, statistics and other ability enhancement courses.

The course is offered in University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME), Delhi Technological University. USME was established in the year 20217. USME not only offers degree programs at UG, PG and doctoral levels, it has also conducted intense workshops for students such as in Entrepreneurship, Business Strategy, R for Machine Learning, The Startup Conclave etc. Last year, the first USME internship fair resulted in over 350 internship offers to UG students.

Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with atleast 50% marks and must have also passed Mathematics as a subject in +2. Relaxation in minimum marks available for select categories like SC / ST (10%), OBC-NCL (5%), Defence personnel (5%), PwD (10%).

Intake: Total 180 seats out of which 85% seats are for Delhi Region candidates and 15% for Outside Delhi candidates. Additionally, there is 1 supernumerary seats each for Kashmiri Migrant and Single Girl Child.

Admission criteria

Merit list shall be drawn based on the marks obtained in best four subjects (including Mathematics) in 10+2 board or equivalent examination.

Vocational / Skill based courses (as specified in CBSE list) will NOT be counted in best four subjects.

In case of tie, candidates with higher score in Mathematics will be given preference. In case score in Mathematics is the same, the elder candidate will be given preference.
